My name is Reynold Adolphus Ferary of Ashton, Union Island, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, W.I. I grew up in Union Island. My mother was a member of the Anglican Church so I attended the Anglican Church as a child, at 17 years of age I accepted Christ as my personal Savior and joined the Seventh-day Adventist church. I grew up very poor, since my mom, as a single mother, had very little resources to take care of myself and my siblings. At the age of 15 I discontinued attending school and went to find employment to help support myself and my siblings. I always had the desire to obtain an education so I saved some of the funds and when I had enough, for a start, I enrolled in a private high school at the age of 19 to obtain my high school diploma. I enrolled in a work-study program where I was able to support myself financially to finish three years of high school. When I graduated from high-school, I enrolled in college to pursue a double degree in Theology and Social Studies (secondary concentration). Upon graduation from college, I was hired as a ministerial intern with the East Caribbean Conference of Seventh-day Adventist. I was assigned to the Island of St. Vincent. I have had the privilege of working in ministry on the Islands of St. Vincent, St. Lucia, and Dominica in the Eastern Caribbean. I have also had the privilege of working in ministry in Canada for the past 18 years. Apart from the fact that I now serve as senior pastor of two churches In Edmonton, Alberta, I am the associate Stewardship Director of the Alberta Conference.
I am married to Jennifer Job Ferary and we have three children, one daughter and two sons. Two are adults and one is a minor. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Theology and Social Studies from Caribbean Union College in Trinidad, a Master’s degree in Family Life Education from Montemorelos University in Mexico, and I am currently pursuing a PhD degree in Business Administration at Montemorelos University in Mexico.
